Easter in Tasmania is my favourite time of the year. My husband is from here and we still have wonderful family living on the waterfront. Tasmania = watercraft + hunting and gathering for clan Wilcox.
If you have the right paperwork and go to approved spots you can have the most amazing time foraging for clams, fishing for couta, catching crays and chiselling oysters off the rocks (preferably the native Angassi) but the Pacific Oysters are running rampant.
Here are some shots of our harvest, plus some moody inspo for my next book, set around Northwest Bay and Stinkpot Bay. The rather sullen mountain in the distance is Mt Wellington.
